Nepal’s young leg-spinner Sandeep Lamichhane will play in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) T20 cricket tournament from Jamaica’s Talawaj.
Jamaica have named Sandeep in their squad for the second round of the draft.
Sandeep had valued the draft at US $ 90,000 (over Rs 1 crore 7 lakhs ).The draft made on July 26 was made public on Monday evening.
Sandeep’s affiliated team includes Andre Russell, Carlos Bathweight and others.
With 537 players from 23 countries registering for the draft, Sandeep was the fourth most expensive player.
Sandeep will play CPL for the third consecutive season.
Sandeep, who played for St. Kitts in the 2018 season, played for Barbados last season.
Due to the corona virus, this time the league is scheduled to be held in only one country.
The league was scheduled to be held in Trinidad and Tobago from August 18 to September 10. But the Trinidadian government has yet to allow the competition.
